Community Health Care’s $4.8 million bi-state expansion plan has reached a significant milestone. The announcement was made at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18th at CHC’s main medical clinic at 500 W. River Drive.
George Barton, CEO, announced that through major gifts fund raising, Community Health Care has secured $2,100,000 toward its goal of $4.8 million. “Our expansion project is focused on mission and meeting the needs of all people throughout the community,” said Mr. Barton, “It’s not really about facilities; it’s about what CHC can do with those facilities to add to the quality of life in our community.”
We are truly thankful that the Quad City community continues to be very supportive of CHC and those that we serve.
“When we began this multi-facility project and capital campaign, we knew we were on the right track,” said Lisa Charnitz-Chairman of the Community Health Care Board of Directors “Today, with 29,000 patients and growing, we will be able to serve those in need for the foreseeable future.”
Total cost for all of the improvements and related items are $4.8 million. Funding secured as of February 18, 2008 total $2,100,000 leaving a community goal of $2.7 million. Solicitation of major gifts continues. In addition, the campaign scope will broaden to seek gifts from additional families, individuals and businesses in the area. A campaign cabinet has been assembled to help with fundraising efforts. All solicitation is scheduled to be completed by late fall of 2008.
With the additions and expansions of our 4 facilities, we anticipate that we will be serving over 32,000 patients by this time next year, an increase of 20% in two years.
